United Labor Credit Union serves any union member with a Local headquartered in the Greater Kansas City area. Members of their household, retirees and persons associated with the union (such as employees in the union office) are also eligible to join United Labor Credit Union.

To open your United Labor Credit Union account, simply fill out a membership application and deposit at least $50 into your Share (Savings) Account. This establishes your ownership in the financial cooperative. This deposit remains in your savings account during the life of your membership, and you get it back should you ever decide to close your ULCU accounts. This is not a membership fee. To help protect your identity, you must also provide ULCU with a state- or federal-issued picture ID, which we will copy and place in your file.

You may deposit your initial $50 through cash, check or direct deposit/payroll deduction through your employer. United Labor’s Switch Kit makes it easy to start direct deposit or even change your accounts from another institution. You can even change your automatic payments without any hassle.
